GREAT album. Not on the same level as "Joined in Darkness", but of course it's very different... and really, how many records are on THAT level? _________________ Analog Worship

Digging up a thread for some good old fashioned necrophilia...
I have been totally obsessed with this LP lately. I have to say that it has become one of my top 10-20 records of the last ten or fifteen years. Truly surreal and crushing.
As always, Demoncy remains unhyped. It must have something to do with the sparseness of their releases (and to be honest, the fact that the album before this one was...not...huh...wow). |

I agree that it's an excellent album. Not Joined in Darkness excellent, but still very good. _________________ THINGS THAT WILL BE DELETED:

A more organic sounding would be welcome but still a great, dark record |

Listening to this for the first time, and I really don't get the hate for it. This is a really strong album so far. I don't hear "keyboard guitars" or "fake bass". I have heard a couple (brief) spots where a guitar part was looped/patched sloppily, but that's a production blip. Not a "keyboard guitar".

How many times did he try to convince himself of that in this thread? Jesus. It was painful to watch. |

Enthroned is a masterpiece in my eyes. "Opening The Lunar Bloodgate" and the title track are the top tracks for me. Still looking for a copy of Empire Of The Fallen Angel as I have yet to hear it, but I liked the norse style material on Within The Sylvan Realms Of Frost so I look forward to it. Incredible project. |
