This album is the final breath of a cursed band, with a turmoiled history. And what an ending. If you think beyond mere categorizing and blatant labeling, you might get something out of it. I seriously hope people do, because there is a universe hidden in this album.

Listening to "Aorta of My Thoughts", I wanted to write a reply to this thread wherein I would've called attention to the apparent traces of heavy metal found in the riff- and rhythmic work of this particular track (and would've subsequently asked if this was a conscious stylistic element of the forthcoming album as a whole), only to immediately afterwards listen to "Deathsquad Alliance" with its introductory quasi-falsetto.

I rather enjoyed both tracks. "Deathsquad Alliance" is a straight-forward and aggressive track, of course, but "Aorta of My Thoughts" displayed song writing focused primarily on the creation of a (more or less) intricate atmosphere, ambiance, rather than being emotive - which can be an understandable drawback to some; it's something which, I find, is a major point of disaffirmation of "orthodox black metal" for many, a perceived lack of metalness, to put it bluntly.

I can't compare these tracks to "Cursed, Scarred and Forever Possessed" because, unfortunately, this is my first time to listen to Celestial Bloodshed. But I'll certainly make good for this shortcoming in the near future.
