That album is an acquired taste. I didn't get into it either when it was released and ended up trading/selling it (with Symbolic as well) for almost nothing. Two years later I realized how wrong I was, changed my mind and had to sweat my guts out to find a copy of both. It's definitely the most demanding of their albums and it requires constant attention to find your way out of that maze of riffs and apparently unsynchronized drumming. But once you manage to get into it, it's a guarantee for years and years of listening pleasure. _________________ Thread derailed

Interested in trading a dub of Apokalypsimz for a dub of Purpurearagotamiceps?
I want that Balwezo Westijiz–Urkraftens Mystik LP but wanted to get it with the Bekëth Nexëhmü |

This is a GREAT metal record. |
Absolutely, and an amazing cover artwork too. If I ever get to understand what the hell it represents I'm sure I'll like it even more
I see what looks like a human skull (or the x-ray of one) in the middle and...that's basically it. Oh, the golden age of Roadracer vinyl <3 _________________ Thread derailed

There's also Earth underneath the title and that thing to the right of the skull looks like a sperm, although I'm not sure. |

After expanding horizons with other music, the harder albums immediately got more interesting. I bought TSOP when it was released, but sold it about 12 years ago for whatever reason, only to buy it back after rediscovering the band in a whole new light a few years later. I still skip the Painkiller cover most of the time, heh. _________________ §:-«l |

Human is great and Symbolic was ok too. Everything else is garbage. _________________

Pick for Human but I love also ITP and Symbolic.
Total hate to TSOP. I think it's one of the lowest and shittiest album of all time.
Boring, wankers technical bullshit, definitely an album to delete from the face of Earth. Still in 2013 I don't understand Chuck's choices in that time. |

revisiting Human and ITP right now for verification purposes...
*edit* well Flattening of Emotions still holds up as one of my favorite death tracks, but I had to vote Individual Thought Patterns in the end... cooler groovy parts IMO _________________ trade-want list/available list- http://www.nwnprod.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=20339

| Symbolic and TSOP are pretty awful. Human's good and ITP is alright (though I hate that The Philosopher song). |

No, no. Fuck all this prog metal crap. Music sucks. "Jazz influenced metal" is incredibly ridiculous. I'd just stick to G. Garzone's Fringe or the Brad Meldhau Trio instead.
"Mature metal" can fuck off. _________________
