Finally a cassette edition of long sold out and sought after 1996 album, previously only available on CD format. Bostonīs Gonkulator was propably the most blasphemous and chaotic band to hit the 90īs with their highly distorted sound, demonic growling vocals and influences taken from black metal as well as deepest death doom and underground grind. Huge influence on Bestial Burst artists like Flooded Church of Asmodeus or Ride For Revenge. Sealed pro-cassette on yellow body, full color covers, limited to 250 copies. 6 euros + postage.

(BeBu-041) USVA (FIN) / DRACO (FIN) - Re-Desecrating the South Carelian Graves split CD
Pre-Goatmoon material. Classic, cold, aggressive and epic finnish black metal. Not to be confused with another finnish act of the same name, USVA (finnish for "Fog") line up featured BlackGoat GraveDesecrator, M.V. and Avenger, DRACO featured Emperor Askonen, Namkah and Avenger - folks that later united for classics like "Finnish Steel Storm" and "In The Spirit of Ultimate Sacrifice". Included here are two previously unreleased demos (2000 & 2002) and two song rehearsal tape (2001) from Usva, as well as two unreleased studio demos (1998 & 1999) from Draco, first one including the track "Mythical Story" later recorded by Goatmoon. 17 songs and 55 minutes of historical finnish black metal. 12 euros + postage.

GONKULATOR tape now in stock at Barghest.
I don't normally like grind, but there's something special about this album - a fierce, sinister atmosphere that really hits the spot, and a good variety of compositions. Interesting to hear the elements that influenced Ride for Revenge too.
Highly recommended listening, even for black metal devotees.

Gonkulator is not normal grindcore at all. So anyone who gets all jumpy for mention of grindcore shouldn't pass.

Gonkulator is amazing. This tape is absolutely essential.
