I'm pretty sure Sorrow Galaxies and the first EP are the only ones that have none whatsoever (Remains and Vampires have tracks with regular drums and some with a machine). |
No drum machine on Remains, unless you're counting the two bonus tracks at the end from the 1996 session. |
I was, thanks for the correction. _________________

Remains, but only by a bit. Remains and Vampires are two of the greatest albums of all time. Black Millennium and on are alright when I'm in the mood for them, but they don't sound as rotten as the first two. More urban decay than dilapidated mansion in the middle of nowhere. _________________

Vampires for me!
No secret i'm a fanboy of all material, no low moments in my eyes.
The new mix of Rattenkonig sounds excellent too i must say! _________________ www.darkadversary.com |

NK7 is banned for another week for intentionally derailing this thread. A third ban would be "more" permanent, resulting in the never-ending sequence of banning you indefinitely, you creating a new account, starting the same fights, etc. When you return from this week's vacation, I suggest you express your already well-known feelings on Mütiilation in a single line in your signature, and leave it at that, to avoid this waste of time for both of us.
NK7's thoughts on this topic have been deleted, as have any responses to them.
Other posters are encouraged not to respond to these types of posts, and just let me deal with it. |

Vampires of Black Imperial Blood is a perfect black metal album. The mood it sets upon the listener is one of the closest to reminiscence of dark ages - the superstition of peasantry in God forsaken hamlets of Transylvania, abductions of unbaptized firstborns by witches, vampiric folklore... EVIL!
The Gestalt is our circle
The dark fraternity is our
Vampire night begins
Under the yoke of Satan
Into the woods and mountains
Where sorcery rules...
Gotta roll the dice... |

That's probably the best characterization of Mutiilation's material I've ever read. I voted for Black Millennium though, I've always had a soft spot for that album as it was the first Mutiilation album I really enjoyed. I probably go back and listen to Vampires the most though. Never got into Sorrow Galaxies but was a big fan of Rattenkonig and Majestas. Can't say I've honestly given Remains more than a handful of listenings over the years, maybe I'll dig it out. |

To people who's favorite Mutiilation is Vampires.., do any of you prefer one of the two mixes of the album over the other? I first heard the LP mix of the album (some boot CD with the LP cover) with the louder drums and alternate track listing. Since then I have obtained the DAP press of the CD a few years back, and appreciate that mix as well, but I still typically find myself going for the "LP mix". _________________ Good sellers/traders: metalmac, greenmonster, Transcendence, GoldenBull, Paria

So it's like each album became a collection of killer riffs that don't really create a solid whole. | took the words out my mouth, well put _________________ ...Stand In The Thrall...Stand In The Thrall...Stand In The Thrall Of My Tidal WALL !!
