Sounds bit diverse from the first opus and I'm very disappointing with this.
I think they choose the way of band like Degial and abandoned the true essence of Finnish obscurity (Corpsessed it's what I think when I'm refered to this vibe).
I am sorry for this lack of opportunity, looking forward elsewhere (who named Krypts? ) |
Corpsessed are hit and miss, they have a couple of pretty outstanding tracks but mostly pretty lame.
Just listen to Demigod, Depravity, Rippikoulu and Purtenance. Never gets old. _________________

I think Corpsessed represents one of the new finnish pinnacle of the genre, both with Krypts, Lie In Ruins, Stench Of Decay or Claws.
I don't want to comparison old gods with the new scene.
I just explain that the new Vorum don't sound 'finnish death metal' than Corpsessed or Krypts [IMHO] and for this reason I don't want to listen it anymore. |

Gocha. Maybe check out Serpent Ascending, they have that mystifying and dark atmosphere of old. _________________

Yes, listening to Serpent Ascending some time ago, but I don't like how sound the production.
Some impression for an example for the first Desecresy album, but with their new 'The Doom Skeptron' I did a deep dive into their abysmal sound |

I've heard that the new Desecresy is a huge step up from their last album, I'll have to give it a listen. _________________

Yes, for me Desecresy new album is the best death metal of 2012.
Dark, abysmal, growling death metal from the ultratumba

This album is GREAT. And i found many Black Metal influences in it... (since everybody seems to label it pure death metal)
Anyway, I read this line in a review and I wanted to share the fun:
| Quote: | | The music on Poisoned Void is typical of what you would find on an old school death metal record. Even the number of total tracks (eight) is reminiscent of many first wave old school death metal bands! |
