When the Gods of Heavy Metal have a new album out the world stands still. I'm only half way through it and God what a fantastic record, this is less symphonic than Gods of War (which was a timeless masterpiece - but then again which of their albums wasn't?) and more in the vein of The Triumph of Steel with an Into Glory Ride feel to it. Eric Adam's vocals are just unbelievable, the man is almost in his 60ies and still in top shape.
This is the kind of music modern posers will never understand -go ahead and listen to your Belketre rehearsal mp3, but bear in mind this is HEAVY FUCKING METAL to the bone, they get the chicks while all you get is a solitary wank in the loneliness of your bedroom. HAIL MANOWAR, ETERNAL KINGS OF HEAVY METAL! _________________ Thread derailed

I have to disagree stronger than I have ever disagreed on anything before!
Gods of War was anything but a masterpiece. it had 1-2 good songs and then it was filler.
IMO, anything after Hail to England weren't "masterpieces". some bad, some good- some better than that(Sign of the Hammer), but not anything after Hail to England was Fantastic from start to finish! _________________ WANTLIST/TRADELIST http://andreas-wantlist.blogspot.com/2012/03/wantlist.html

Fighting the World.

- Fighting the world
- Carry on
- Defender
- Blow your speakers
- Blackwind, fire and steel
At least five classic songs on that record. It may be their most radio-friendly album but it's still a milestone. _________________ Thread derailed

Personally I don't really care about Manowar after The Triumph of Steel.
However, this new band Death Dealer featuring Ross the Boss and Rhino sounds pretty nice: https://soundcloud.com/deathdealermetal _________________

Negative opinions are welcome, if/when properly justified. Lame trolling isn't. _________________ Thread derailed

| I'm huge fan! But I found Lord Of Steel is the weakest. Gods of War was way better than this. |

It's been at least a decade since I listened to that album, but I don't remember there being anything worthwhile on it at all. That album was a a huge letdown to me. Might be time to revisit it. |

He-Man shit. The only interesting thing ever related to this band is that Ross The Boss did all the guitar solos on Ian Stuarts "Slay THe Beast" album.

Maybe he was the only hetrosexual to ever be in this joke outfit.
