maudlin of the well vinyls

Well this news is far from being in line with the type of music generally discussed on this board, but I see many progressive albums shown in the 'recent ___ scores' threads, and feel obligated to mention it, since fans of this band will probably shit their pants over it.

Antithetic Records pressed some type of boxset for maudlin of the Well's Bath/LYBM albums. They only made 150 (these are sold out already), but the good news is that there are a few "regular" copies of these albums for sale.

Hard to say if these will ever get pressed again (even the cds have always been low-quantity, even counting represses).

Soooooooooo, if you're a fan of this amazing progressive band, don't miss it!

I wondered if that was the case, as the cds say Dark Symphonies. I hated motw (passionately) for many years, but had a girlfriend who played them fucking constantly. Needless to say, the first 3 albums grew on me, and I now consider them as some of the best prog rock albums ever.

I pre-ordered the set back in November, all I've heard about them since then was an email asking a confirmation of my name spelling so it could be included in the liner notes. That was about a month ago.

I love those albums. I would of been all over the box set, had I known about it. Is this set a combo package, or two separate pieces?

Another release that could have deserved its own regular vinyl editions without lavish boxsets and customized extras but got them anyway to increase the kvlt and the amount of cost for unnecessary excessive extras.

@reaper's grave ... Um, lol ... that's exactly what's for sale here. They are selling the two companion albums as a bundle, i.e., you make the order, and receive a copy of each album on vinyl in the mail. No bells, no whistles; nothing but a 'regular vinyl copy' of each album.

@giantcogs It is just two separate pieces, sold together.

This band was always pretty underrated for this style of progressive stuff. Im glad to see them on vinyl, would love to get them. Hope they last long enough for me to conjure the cash. The limitation is pretty ridiculous.

The MOTW vinyls are amazing! I have the box set and it really is killer. I supplied the label with all the original source materials, art, audio masters, etc. which I had in my archives because I'm anal like that, so if you like the band, get the LPS before they are gone.
