This is one band that took me a long time to really get into and appreaciate, not sure why... I pretty much tend to like them now more or less and can appreaciate their discography, although hardly a favourite and not one that gets much attention. Cannot say why exactly?
A band I tend to pick and choose a song here and there rather then play entire albums. |

Goat Perversion is mandatory. | As is Sadogoat IMO. That cover of "Ghost Riders..." is fucking awesome and insane, as is "Sadogoat" _________________

Of course, mandatory releases, just like the band's whole discography! |

You can also get this pretty good compilation, if a CD is good enough for you:
http://www.discogs.com/Impaled-Nazarene-Decade-Of-Decadence/master/281891
Plus some re-releases of the first three albums have the singles and demos as bonus - although sometimes only on the inlay. |

Great band. Personal favorite album is Suomi Finlland Perkele but I'll always have a soft spot for Absence of War Does Not Mean Peace as it was my first introduction to them. I also count the live album amongst the few live recordings I listen to often. Missed their set at MDF doing coke in preparation for their set...sad misfortune indeed. |

I Like most of the stuff BUT find only the first three worth owning. Tol Cormpt Norz Norz Norz is still one of my top BM releases of all time.I Wish Osmose would re-release this on wax again. |

Ugra Karma is my favorite. I like their other old albums a lot, but I think their recent stuff is really good too. If you don't really care about the style, I think they're among the most solid extreme sounding bands out there, every album I bought, or checked was definitely worth getting. Nihil is probably my favorite late release. _________________ Sic transit gloria mundi |

Nihil is so underrated. There is something so bitter over that album that when I'm in a certain mood I can't stand any other album. Sheer Finnish bitterness.
First three are, as everyone else said, essential. I do like some songs here and there on later releases (Neighborcide, Suffer in Silence as two examples) but the production on later albums really turn me off. |

One of my favorite bands ever, especially the first two albums and old eps. They went downhill after each album but I enjoy everything up to and including Rapture. I really hate that Evil Dead video though. |

Was really possessed about TCNNN and Ugra-Karma and liked SFP. Latex Cult had it moments and everything after that I cant stand. They maybe arent bad records, but when thinking how godly Impaled Nazarene were on their early days, everything after that turns to shit.
So puritanist like me, it was shocking to notice how good liveband they still are. That "Death comes..." live cd was brilliant and also that new Live DVD that came month or two ago. Tracks that are done twenty years ago still sound so fresh and full of energy & hate. _________________ Mors fennico more |

It was repressed on vinyl not that long ago (not sure who by). I can't remember how many versions there were, but mine's a clear gatefold DLP (with the Day of Darkness boot taking up the remaining space on the vinyl) _________________ Ignivomous merch: abaddon_963[at]hotmail.com
