I have received the Lantern master files as well as the layout files for the debut full-length from Lantern. Mastered by Dan Lowndes with artwork and layout provided by Bad News Brown. Eight tracks, thirty-eight minutes. More news to follow but production will begin on the vinyl and CD version immediately.

Actually, I've spent a lot of time on the new Lantern album over the past week or so and it's totally perfect. As someone stated, they really aren't like any other band around right now. To me it's a mixture of ancient death metal sounds (very early) with just the right amount of dementedness which makes Lantern a one-of-a-kind band right now.

perfect statement. for me, LANTERN can bring the right dose of "strangeness" to their music to make them sound unique but still keep their roots in death metal aesthetics.
in other words, personal and original DM, but not schizo like PORTAL and the likes...
already looking foward to the album! |
