Sorry dude, are you talking about "BM spirit and underground" in the 2012 and in a forum? Manes is probably the only band that didn't care about people can think about a release, producing the music they want to do. They don't make an album for YOU and that's enough for me.
I've seen when the re-release was out there was people talking about the cover, a real pity they don't put a goat or a snowball on the artwork... That's really incredible there is still someone using "poser" word in the most common forum and above all call poser who listened Manes, the only band that really doesn't care about the stupid mass...
Just for info, who listen In the woods, Ulver, Ved buens Ende, Arcturus, DHG is a poser?  |

What are you talking about? Who cares about the cover? Did you realize that the only thing in common between the demos and all the other releases of this band, except for their first "full length", is the name Manes? Can you understand that the music is different? I strongly don't think so, Kvist, change nickname dude, listen to your remastered Transilvanian Hunger, my nickname is Manes and it's about the true Manes, one of the best out of Norway.

Who cares if they changed their style? You didn't talk with them and I suggest to change your nickname cause it seems you didn't understand anything about them.
Nothing personal, you seem really young, for sure you missed completely their point of view and you've never read anything about them.
We could discuss if I like the demos or their last release but do you really think you've the truth and if you can teach to everybody what is good and what is wrong? 
I will not continue this discussion, if you want to discover what is behind the real Manes try to find the email of Cern and talk with him, you can have a good surprise or call him poser, up to you.
Then believe it or not, also Darkthrone changed a lot since their beginning. |

Sorry, grandfather of bm, I don't know if I am too young but, you are over 37, you're older than I am.
Wouldn't it better if they had changed into for example Manii in 1999 when they turned into that experimental stuff? And now return to Manes, since from the sample their sound is similar to that of the demos?
Up to you grandfather, I have never said Cern is a poser, you said that.

Just recently found out about this, and honestly I can see why they did change the name.
For one, although they did return to the old style, in light of the later material they released as Manes it makes sense to divert themselves from the latter day likeness. From an ethics point of view I think they did a correct action changing it. It now takes them back to the building blocks that they established ages ago but still begins a new chapter for them. Hopefully this will not be a one off, and also not to keep flogging the same horse, but see them "regress" into an even more cryptic and haunting sound like they had.
A really strong album to my ears, and I've been in this shit for a long time. It's nice to hear the days of old become reborn again.

I found it on Spotify (no hipster here) and was skeptical at first until the beginning of the first tune.....
I'm hooked. The Manes stuff is way more of an influence on Ho13 to me than Judas Priest.... Just saying...
