I always said that Lantern is one of the very few current bands that you could play alongside older death metal and it wouldn't sound out of place but it wouldn't sound like anyone else either. A totally unique take on the current revival of old school death metal. _________________ If you are a false don't marry! Girlfriend is ok but only destructing anus from behind!!! - Fat Dagon
And now we have fags complaining about other fags. A "fagoboros" if you will. |

If this is even 70% as good as the EP I'll be having nocturnal emissions for months.
(Speaking of, any US distros carrying the CDEP? Only see Euro distribution) |

That's a perfect description. They sound like one of those slightly weird bands from the early/mid 90s that is ignored in their own time and then reissued to wider acclaim years later. A lot of old school bands right now (even ones I like) are just imitating some other band or two that they worship, but Lantern sounds like their own thing to me. _________________ http://unspeakableaxerecords.com |

Both of you nailed the point. To illustrate it, I hear some old Swedish DM in their music, but their scope is far larger.
The new song sounds amazing like the previous releases. _________________

I don't know who has them left in Europe...the band may have a few if you'd like me to check. I don't have many copies left myself as they've been going much quicker as people have started to recognize the band more. I'm sure once this album is released people will be clamoring for the EP. Since only 500 were pressed, perhaps it's time to start looking at that again. I know someone from Finland is pressing the EP on vinyl as we speak. _________________ http://www.darkdescentrecords.com |
