|
Not sure how many fans will be found on here of this folk-doom band, but we're releasing their 5th album this year.
They just finished recording and traveled home to Chelyabinsk, Russia, to mix the album, when there were suddenly meteorites crashing at 30x the power of an atomic bomb. So, the record has been put on hold while they make sure them and their families haven't been stricken with radiation poisoning.
Possibly the first time an album has been delayed by meteorites crashing?

Yes, came back from a hiatus and asked how their trip home was, and there was a 2 hour long discussion about this. Fucking frightening. Said the government and the town have said *nothing* about what happened.
We're actually discussing if the crash might have some influence on the release.
This record BTW is going to be much more doom than previous releases. _________________ motW/Lykathea Aflame/Sigh/Whourkr/Manii/Thy Catafalque available

| Hope they are okay. I just checked em out on Bandcamp and will order their stuff when I get some cash. Sounds like the packaging to their releases are killer. |

Weirdest excuse to delay an album, for sure.
Also, wasn't their new album supposed to be depressive black metal? |

According to the band, the city and federal government have issued no statements about what happened, but the entire Russian army is in the area, so they want to be fully safe and sure. Additionally, radioactive elements are naturally occurring in the cores of stars and have the potential of unleashing radioactive debris into space when a star explodes.
So far, they are OK. 2000 people were hurt in the city. No damage to band or their families. They would obviously rather be safe in the long run. _________________ motW/Lykathea Aflame/Sigh/Whourkr/Manii/Thy Catafalque available

It's much much more doom than anything they've done besides Lumikuuro. It's a single, 40-minute track mixing their signature style with more doom. Kinda operatic (but without the opera). _________________ motW/Lykathea Aflame/Sigh/Whourkr/Manii/Thy Catafalque available

Yup, he is living in Kiev and recorded there but went to his home to mix.
Well both us and the band thought it was a pretty fucked-up story worth sharing. What is said is all true. _________________ motW/Lykathea Aflame/Sigh/Whourkr/Manii/Thy Catafalque available
