I actually like it. It's certainly odd, but I think it fits well on the album.
But "One In Their Pride" is really awkward and probably belongs in the "shame" category. _________________ Evil Is As Evil Does... |

Bit off topic but Threatening Skies from Back From The Dead is one of the best fuckin' song they ever recorded. On the other hand, I truly hate rap but I liked Bullituary as well as the above mentioned Mexican Radio cover. There are much more shameful songs/recordings in many bands catalog. |

Let's not forget that he was raving about how great Limp Bizkit was around this time. |

| Nevermore, off Morbid Angel - Illud... Was pretty embarrassing. I mean, if I wanted to hear a proper metal song I'd've bought just about any other MA record. When I put on Illud... I just want to jumpdafuckup not headbang. |

Any techno type re-mixes that are included as bonus tracks. Emperor did it on "IX Equilibrium"on the digipak version. Dark Tranquillity did it on the "The Mind's I" re-issue, etc., etc.

There's plenty of people from Metal bands that did something drastic afterwards. Anyone remember Bundeswehra from Poland? They released a great demo titled "King's Return" and then the singer/giutarist went on to do some disco stuff.
Here's a song from the mentioned demo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sXfaBjKsq3w
And here's Pilot (backwards baseball cap) doing disco: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1_-nM0mjNWg _________________

I never knew about this either, but I have listened to Triptykon and I am not surprised this dance/rap shit saw the light of day at some stage.
The Triptykon album I got (some latin name I think) is one of the greatest turds I have heard in the last few years despite people bigging it up left right and centre. Sounds like the kinda late 90's shite my adolescent self would have lapped up. When you go from HH to Tales to Mega and then to all the scutter that followed (funk experiments and all apparently) it is no surprise they tried that crap out. Farce of a band past Mega. Sorry to derail thread. |

Its a woeful album, end of. Full of crying and bitching.
What is decent after Mega??? I listened to Pandemonium years ago, disliked it and never went back. Maybe it deserves another chance.... |

HH/CF = RIP 1983-86
Worst thing besides Cold Lake and Triptykon was APOLLYON'S SUN. |
