Swedish black metal outfit PEST has inked a record deal with Agonia Records. The band's fourth full-length album, entitled "The Crowning Horror", is tentatively due in June. An EP featuring two new tracks ("Black Oath" c/w "Morbid Revelations") will precede the album in April. It will be available on seven-inch vinyl.
PEST commented: "After years of silence a new wave of black death will finally strike the world. The plague is upon us. Bring the darkness!"

I have to ask though, why are bands still signing with Agonia? The chances of getting totally fucked seem really high. |

I guess bands haven't been informed by the NWN-forum that Agonia rips all bands in their rooster off. Either that, or Agonia has straightened themselves out.
Anyway, Pest is great. Would be supreme if they returned to the Dauðafærð mlp-sound, which is a masterpiece.

The last album was a major letdown. They turned to complete utter shit since they convinced themselves they are Nifelheim, hope they'll move back to the In Total Contempt sound.

Agreed, they weren't exactly the most original band around to begin with, but loved the earlier albums (especially In Total Contempt which is fuckin' ferocious) and that wannabe Nifelheim bullshit was too much for me... I wonder how they'll sound this time.
