Acually never biggest fan of typical finnish black metal, but Azaghal never sounded anyhow better or "special" band from those... much more close to opposite |

Horna has been hit and miss for me. Is it just me or is this band all over the board with production and style of music?
It's like it could be several bands (with just the same singer) releasing various different people's material under the same band name. |

While it's an excellent album with great production and great sick vocals it's not their best IMHO. Envaatnags..., Hidentornii, split with Behexen and even last double album were better. I also prefer Himen Pyeku something (Finnish......) their outstanding MLP.
Some riffs are even EXTREMELY reminiscent of older Horna's material.
Anyway Shatraug still is and will forever be a riff genius _________________ DISJECTA MEMBRAE plays Vomitive Doom

Great production? IMO it's one of their worst ever. _________________

Agreed. Sounds pretty sterile... |
Sterile would be Sudentaival. This new sounds just muddy and crap, difficult to hear riffs properly. _________________

Indeed. And riffs have always been the backbone of Horna in their excellence. I was rather dissappointed myself and mainly because of the sounds that make the album so hard to listen. |

Wow, better check your stereo systems, folks. I don't understand shit what you mean! Great sound, great riffs, great vocals. Horna always had an extremely finnish sound(a bit too finnish), and with this they still have this sound, but with more variations(mainly the vocals) and memorable riffs.
But of course, taste differ. _________________

| I dunno the production is a bit too muddy, the guitars usually had more of a crunch in the previous albums. The quality of the music is great as always though. |
