Just found this bestial release from 1987... quite decent stuff... some Hellhammer worship and some similar vocals and atmosphere to Cultes Des Ghoules at some points.
Anyone familiar with the band/history? _________________

Some of the vocals are quite similar in parts. 2nd track in that compilation for example. But yes they are classic old school black/thrash in 80s vein. nice stuff. _________________

| also buy stuff of Parabellum, Blasfemia, Reencarnaciòn, the Rodrigo D No Futuro compilation (and movie) for some finest 80 colombian madness, if you like Nekromantie you'll be not disappointed. |

If anything, Cultes des Ghoules would be similar to Nekromantie and not the other way around. _________________

well yes, obviously. i was just drawing a lazy comparison but you get what I meant. I just got a similar vibe at some points listening to this comp. Surprised I'd not heard of them before anywhere over the years... _________________

Never heard of that movie until now; just googled it, and it sounds right up my alley. Will definitely have to check it out. Thanks. |

I have this, but it was more like 8 years ago when I snagged it. You mean it sat around distros for that long? |

Some questions:
Is it hard to get Nekromantie CD now?
I had a tough luck to find Parabellum and Blasfemia CDs few years back then, so guess this compilation is OOP for now.
Also, I have heard that another Nekromantie compilation has been planned, is it true? |

Where the fuck you hear "Hellhammer" in this band? Like most SA-bands from that time, they just sound more or less like Sarcofago. But just not that good.
(of course still 100 times better than the unbelievable amount of worthless crap this continent unleashed since ca. the mid-90ies) |
