Sure, Immolation's last great album was Unholy Cult (which was released about 10 years ago), but releases like Majesty and Decay and Providence have been pretty good. Better than a lot of Death Metal out there.
Also, I have no idea what the hell Madhukapala is going on about. Close to a World Below and Unholy Cult are arguably the band's best. |

Immolation always delivers, not bad album in my book even if i'm not that familiar with their late works, excellent live, and sample sounds promising, too bad they talk over what seems to be a cool riff |

I wish they would invest more time in writing. |

I have a feeling that Vigna invests a great deal of time in writing
how they can play so well live with so little rehearsing (or no rehearsing at all when it comes to new songs) is beyond me _________________ Buy my KVLT: http://www.nwnprod.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=60310

Well, I was going off what they said in that little video...about spending 4 weeks or whatever writing. |

I think Dawn of Possession is better, but my fave's probably Close To A World Below. In general, Immolation's pretty much of a prefect band, even their 'weak' albums are miles better than 99% of today's death metal. _________________ Sic transit gloria mundi |

Gave Majesty and Decay another chance and it just doesn't do a whole hell of a lot for me. Not a bad album by any means but... _________________ English adviced by Richard Johnson

Cover art is shit, but interested to hear the whole album.
As an aside, I don't see the point in this thread turning into another 'which Immolation album is best?' poll... |
