Best beer is for sure local brew, trust me! Visit the EastSide Gallery and the Kreuzberg area in general, there is some nice shops (which I can't recall), but I found some great 2nd vinyl there.. I also recommend Blackland bar!
I'll get back to you with more info.. (I should move to Berlin some day, I have visited this capital about 15 times, since 1991! I fucking love that amazing city!). _________________ The modern noise makes modern people |

for culture:
Museumsinsel, and at least go to the Pergammonmuseum with the Gate Of Ishtar, Nofrete and thousand other beautiful antic relics: http://www.museumsinsel-berlin.de/home/
The Berggruen museum is the best private art museum in whole Germany. You won't see more Picassos and other impressionist.

It has just re-opened again after a long period of reconstruction.

Berliner Unterwelten. Experience Berlin 20-50m below the earth in WW-2 bunkers and tunnels that still exist. Maybe you discover the rotten and rancid dead body of Hitler there too. At least what the rats left of that cadaver.

Beautiful place. Worth the half-day to spent there.
Dalí exhibition:

http://www.berlin.de/orte/museum/neue-nationalgalerie/
Very good art and pictures from 1900+. Dix, Dalí, Beckmann, Miró, however, I was disappointed with the rest. Nevertheless, the mentioned painters were satisfying.

German technical museum. The one in Munich is better in my opinion, but you can spent there also a whole day inside. _________________ Tradelist + Good Traders:

Another question to berliners.Should I bring my own tobacco/cigarettes or the prices for tobacco are good?I'll need much tobacco, due to the alcohol quantities |

i did a lot of sightseeing in Berlin so if you want any recommendations for that i can help you out and post a list of things i saw that are worth seeing, but since you're more into bars/metal stuff i can also help a little. i went to the Halford Bar and the Blacklands Club and highly recommend both! the Halford bar has tons of Judas Priest and heavy metal memorabilia and the Blacklands club has cool memorabilia as well but alot of it more black/death oriented. since it was during NWN fest, the Blacklands Club was always packed but i dont know how it regularly is otherwise. the Halford Bar for some reason didn't have many people in it despite the cool atmosphere. for beer, im mostly a craft beer/IPA drinker but i drank a lot of Berliner Pils and Paulaner/wheat beers most of the time in Berlin and they were really good. Berlin has a lot of beer and it's very affordable so you wont go thirsty. for food, there's a currywurst place that i ate at several times by the A&O Hostel that had the best currywurst i ate anywhere in Berlin. _________________ good users |

As some people wrote, my friend who attended NWN Fest III told me that Dalí exposition was great he also said Halford bar and Blackland were good... And keeps telling me about currywurst at the corner of that A&O Hotel as one of the best meals he had ever tried... Hope to help. |

I'm going to be the odd one out, but don't drink Budweiser in Berlin (or anywhere in Germany) when you can get the local / state beer. No point going to one country just to drink a different country's beer, especially when said country makes excellent beer themselves.
You'll find food stalls all over the shop in Berlin, just walk 3 blocks in any direction pretty much. I generally never go to Berlin with a plan, I always find stuff to do there _________________ Ignivomous merch: abaddon_963[at]hotmail.com
