The vocals really turn me off and give me a "breeeee breeee breeeee" gore-grind vibe that I just can't shake and it contaminates the entire vibe of the album for me. I've given it four solid listens over the last couple of weeks and the music itself is just not engaging enough to distract me from the vocals. |
100% in agreement with this. |
I felt the same way at first but it's growing on me. So far I like the 2nd track the most. I still dislike a few random parts here and there that sound too similar to DsO but I'm liking the CD more and more all the time.
The vocals are strange for sure. No doubt about that. |

One of the best if not the best release of 2012. The vocals don't bother me at all. I'm not sure how they sound like bree bree, they just sound whispery to me. I was kind of disappointed by the last track though, it drags a bit.
Also, does anybody happen to know anything about this track?

I was inspecting it to be on the full length but it is not... |

Don't get the complaints about the vox. Sounds nothing like goregrind/deathcore. They're especially good on the "Those Who Crawl..." demo. _________________

Good album. The vocals are different in that they're a bit more guttural than usual, yet whispering, with some weird fx on them or something.... |

The beginning sounds like a part of "Psychoactive Sacraments" for me. Maybe they mixed some songs together? | I haven't thought of that, but I still don't know. I'm helplessly in love with the riff coming in at 3:54 and I've been unable to find anything like it in their discography. |

I finally got around to getting this album this week. One of the most promising albums I have heard in a while. There is a section on Psychoactive Sacraments at about the 11:00 mark which is beautiful and epic. For me as a whole the whole album works and never gets boring. Would love to see these guys live one day...come to Aberdeen |

I have never bothered with seeing the whole video until now. In my opinion it is simply a new, unreleased song and a damn good one!
I'm wondering how long will I have to wait for the release of some new material from the band. But I'm sure that the waiting will be worth it. |

Due to delays in the schedule and having to catch my last train home I missed out on Svartidaudi this saturday... How were they, stellar like in Brussels I assume? |

Somebody probably already mentioned Chao's Spiritus Sankti in this thread...but if not, check that recording out if you like Svartidaudi... |
