They're in a box a few feet away from me right now, just haven't listed em yet. Will get to it in the next few days I hope.

Good to know. Thanks.

Just saying... in particular the Akitsa side of the vinyl is superb! Their gig in HELLsinki is much anticipated! Twisted Evil

Yeah that split is fucking great. Ash Pool is the best US black metal band today.

Northern Heritage and AAP had it like two weeks ago already but both have it long gone...

I feel like I read on seedstock that Akitsa's side is heavy on the RAC/Oi style they do. can anyone confirm this? those proud and triumphant oi induced bm tracks are my absolute favorite.

Seems the split was released digitally as well by Hospital. Tracks available for preview here:

Yeah, Akitsa side is good, RAC influence throughout. Ash Pool has a few good riffs, some bad riffs, and some terrible clean vocals... bleh. Akitsa side is worth it though.

Correction, best american black metal band is Cirrhus.

cirrhus is other wordly. furdidurke too i think. very moving and original stuff.

listening to the mp3s of the Akitsa side i just got from soulseek, total perfection. really impressed because earlier this year, i was at a show where i believe it was the dude from lussuria (maybe wrong), selling TDG tapes. I asked when there would be a akitsa release that was fully RAC sounding, and he laughed at me, and said "im sure its just a matter of time" or something like that.

dreams do come true. Embarassed Embarassed

of this continuation of related acts, I thought Taut was the most interesting/original. Furdidurke reminds me of a lot Finnish acts with those "shimmering riffs" if that makes sense... and for whatever reason I do prefer Cirrhus over Furdidurke stuff, though I have not checked in recently. 7" was the last thing I heard...
