IMO, Journeys into Horizons Lost, Of Spells Of Darkness and Death, Vampyr, and Empire of Blood are all top notch USBM. Many will probably disagree here, but I'd pick these over Judas Iscariot, Von, Leviathan, etc... Any day of the week.

As far as the newer material I haven't bothered after I heard Ordog, which in my eyes was dreadful.

I have been eating to hear the EP the released last year however after a recommendation, worth checking out?

I'm a big fan of Az-I-Dahak. Great atmosphere. Definitely one of a kind stuff.

Yeah I'd pick solid poop over diarrhea too.

You should check out the stuff after Ordog. Ordog and Az-I-Dahak are way different the other albums. Waters of Weeping is still kinda experimental but it's good and Vukolak is sorta a return to form.

You didn't mention Belial Arisen either which is also good and is pretty much early Black Funeral since it was recorded in 1996.

I haven't heard the EP but it's probably good.

I like most Black Funeral stuff, though I'm not too familiar with the demo stuff.
The last EP is definately recommendable! I think it's better than Vukolak!

b-but the "diarrhea" bands are good, although Black Funeral is indeed kind of, like, solid poop.

This is one I was never able to hunt down. The first demo and early albums are still monumental for me.

An overall quite unexciting band, like Judas Iscariot.

Early Demoncy was way better.

the sorath "horns of the goat" 7" blows away anything that guy did as black funeral.

i prefer late judas iscariot by a mile . . . awesome drumming, solid transilvanian-style norse core. early JI just sucks.
