Watched Out for Justice tonight

Quite possibly the best opening scene ever:

Also watched Kill List and enjoyed.

Yeah Out For Justice and Marked For Death for pretty great.

Blindly rented Kill List and loved it. Awesome indie film. I hope the director goes on to make more rad stuff.

He made a film called sightseers as well and it's excellent.

Kill List was cool, have to watch it again.

Saw Evil Dead 2013...it was ok. In many respects it just seemed like any old typical modern horror film; i.e shit laods of gory violence. Lacked the morbid humour and atmosphere of the original though. Also the ending wasn't pessimistic enough. Had some laughs here and there, but some of them definitely weren't intended to be amusing.

Watched Kiss kiss bang bang...it was ok.

Salt; not as utterly shit I was expecting.

Antiviral. Pretty good, although a bit slow at times. Quite similar to some of his dad's ( David Cronenberg) early works.

Cool short documentary about the punk rock scene in Belfast circa 1978. Maybe not much interest to most of the NWN crowd but I really like all of those Good Vibrations Records bands and they're all featured here... Protex, Outcasts, Rudi and of course the Undertones. You can find it on Youtube.

Annoyed and letdown myself. Had some good parts, and Bane was great, but it's the worst of the trilogy. With Batman Begins being the best i think.

Easily my favorite Western of all time, and it isn't even set in America.

I love the part when the giggling girls pee on the corpse. So many great scenes in that movie.

It was pretty 'meh' to be honest.

I prefer this one:

Went through some VHS tapes to figure out what those have. And I found cult movie Loaded Weapon 1 on one of them... Goes straight into the folder "so bad that it's pretty much fucking awesome".

And then some various, selected The X Files episodes...

I showed by girlfriend "Naked Lunch" the other night. I dont think it translates all that well if you were not a Burroughs fan to start with.

I watched Dredd the other day, thought it was awesome. Not as futuristic as it might have been, but a really good script as far as capturing the essence of the universe without having to go too far into the in-depth mythology and character baggage.

Grabbed the Lemmy doco last week, it was ok. Some interesting bits. Also picked up Dark City, Eraserhead and the Thing as they were cheap and I didnt have copies.

It has some good violent scenes for sure, but it's also lot of soft-porn crap you have to go through as well.

An overall very boring experience to watch - and it killed both the careers of McDowell and O'Toole.
