I reckon they'll record an album 'in tribute to jeff' and use some of his songs. _________________

Slightly off topic but does anyone know where I can get a copy of Reign in Blood on vinyl for a normal price? I don't care about first pressings or that once its black or coloured vinyl and comes with the lyrics. |

PeterVenkman wrote: | Slayer rocker Jeff Hanneman's official cause of death has been listed as alcohol-related liver scarring.
The guitarist passed away in a Los Angeles hospital on 2 May aged 49, and now it has emerged he succumbed to alcohol-related cirrhosis, or an irreversible scarring of the liver.
In a post on Slayer's official website, Hanneman's devastated bandmates admit they were unaware of "the true extent" of his liver problems until their pal was facing death.
The statement reads, "We've just learned that the official cause of Jeff's death was alcohol related cirrhosis. While he had his health struggles over the years, including the recent Necrotizing fasciitis infection that devastated his well-being (after a spider bite in 2011), Jeff and those close to him were not aware of the true extent of his liver condition until the last days of his life."
The stars go on to refute rumours Hanneman was set to undergo an operation to help relieve his condition, and insist he was optimistic about making new music.
Slayer add, "Contrary to some reports, Jeff was not on a transplant list at the time of his passing, or at any time prior to that. In fact, by all accounts, it appeared that he had been improving - he was excited and looking forward to working on a new record." |
Good to know that Jeff died the Jeff Way, drank himself to death over time, and not by some spider bite.
Still sad that he passed away.
I still remember the time I talked to him and his wife at a local Best Buy in the video game section many years ago. Such an awesome guy and his wife was nice too. |

Good question actually!
Are RIB, SOH and SEASONS available on vinyl?
*** Just looked - the answer is NOPE.
Perhaps this will change this year...*** _________________ Too Old, Too Cold |

None of the Def American releases have been reissued on vinyl, aside from in that 'Vinyl Conflict' box set thing. |

I was just going by discogs it says everything from Reign in Blood - Undisputed Attitude was reissued in 2010 as separate releases but you must be right because I can't find them anywhere for a normal price.
Thanks |

I see that now too, looks to be Europe only? In any case they appear to be even hard to come by than originals. Besides 'RIB' and 'Seasons' I don't think you should have trouble finding nice originals in the $25 range. |

I found a 1st pressing a couple of years ago with the inner label printed wonky to one side, but not so far over that it would cause problems with playback - the fucker sounds amazing and cost me about £15 only... I think even "perfect" pressings don't cost that much either, for the 1st ed... |

I think ill go for the original but Seasons and Reign in Blood go for 35 and up.
Does anybody have the vinyl conflict? I can get that but I want to know if the albums all come in separate sleeves with the front and back artwork like the original releases with lyrics sheets or are they just 10 vinyls in a box with just the front artwork on cards like the DSO boxset? |

They are separate LP's, each with its own cover. _________________ Into the Menstrual Night We Go-o, Hey-Ho, Hey-Ho...
