Just stumbled over this:

Considering that my old RR-CDs are probably already on the verge of being defunct, then for less than 20 Euros this looks like a sweet deal to me. CDs in cardboard-sleeve and without booklets, though.

Anyone got this already?

wow, indeed, I think is a good deal.

some extra info:

"If you are thinking about buying it, here's a short review & desription... The cartoon box itself doesn't look very good - I assume designing its layout didn't take more than 5 minutes (what you see below is the front cover, and on the back you have just small album covers and song titles written with some generic font (I think it's Arial) on black background... CDs are silver (I'm mentioning it as there was also Roadrunner serie on golden discs) - again with this low budget print on the front - and doesn't include bonus tracks. There are no booklets included (!) and each CD is placed in a simple cartoon envelope, like promo CD. Positive aspect is that it was pretty cheap (around 18 EURO for 5 CD box), but the truth is it also looks being very cheap. Rather recommended for die hard KD collectors, as all these albums are easy to get separately in regular plastic cases, with booklets."

And while trying to purchase it:

US $44.51!! + shipping Rolling Eyes ebay...

typical RR rip off crap. many bootlegs are done with more heart and soul. instead of getting this, just buy the albums on itunes. there you also have nothing to enjoy but the music.

But these being real Metal classics, I would suggest to try and find the originals on vinyl (or CD if you prefer them). Fatal Portrait / Abigail for sure and Them if you want, the artwork is worth it.

Ok, sometimes Google helps, thanks for the info.

I saw it on a Swiss distro for 19.90 Swiss francs, which is less than 20 Euros. No clue about Ebay, as I don't browse this platform.

Well, as I said, the only point is because my original Roadrunner CDs are from the late 80ies and already in very bad condition.

PS: I also have the vinyl versions, but that's a different discussion.

I didn't know about this box, I just wanted some extra info about it.
I think is a good deal because I already own the CD's-Vinyl for those albums, and I would rather play constantly this versions than aging even more the originals.
Besides the cheapo packaging, I like that no bonus tracks were added Very Happy

allright then go for it, it is a good deal and way cheaper than buying on itunes i just realized.

I was just panicking you'd be under the impression that this "fit for media markt" package does the KING justice.

Surely not!

KD/MF is one of the few exceptions were owning multiple versions for the sake of fandom/convenience/everlasting pleasure is justified. And especially with that canonical five albums there.

Not that the original CDs were very fancy to begin with...

Also interesting that the "In Concert '87" is not included, probably a licence-issue?

Seriously, it's crazy that nowadays you can get 25 years of cult for 80 bucks with 4 clicks. Remember the days when we payed 30 or more bucks for ONE of these CDs?
