Nay and then some

One of the worst death metal bands of all time.

I was never a fan until recently. I gave all of their full lengths a listen and something just clicked! Better late than never I guess.

This songs really blew ME to pieces at the time. This was for sure the heaviest band on earth back in the day.

Highly enjoyable up to (and including) Domain of Death. Not so much after that, especially the last LP which I found extremely boring.

IMO the last two albums are a lot better than Domain of Death. Specially Darkest Day of Horror.

It's been a long time since I listened to Domain of Death, but I remember it being the last one I really liked. Darkest Day had some really good songs in it, but it didn't cause much of an impression on me. I might give both a listen in the next few days and see if I change my mind. Maybe I'm a fan of Domain because of the Pungent Stench cover.

It's a shame they propably will never come back to europe for live gigs after Will's incident in Poland.

This is fucking great... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fU4ueHDFmrM

A long time favourite. I spin House By The Cemetery almost daily.

Yep, that's the one. Add "Mortal Massacre" as well... a very dark, evil sounding death metal.

I've never felt the urge to listen to their full-lengths.

The samples (over)killed it, I think.

I don't listen to them very often now but i still think they are good. Their latest albums didn't do anything for me though. Prefer the older stuff up to Chainsaw Dismemberment (which is the first album i heard from them back in 99 and is also the album i listen to the most by Mortician).

Great band. I wish the rest of the full lengths would be released on black vinyl.

Yay!

Totally love them back in the day and even don't listen to them now, 'Hacked up for Barbecue' and 'Zombie Apocalypse' are masterpieces of NYDM.

Mortician: a word I'm afraid of...

yeah, that's too bad, I still have fond memories of this festival appearance:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sQ8g7TK7-2I

seems like the drummer liked the gig as well, according to a youtube comment:
" Victor Rotten

I played drums for Mortician from 1996-1999 I think. This show was fucking SICK! I have been trying to get video of the whole show but have had no luck. If anyone has it I will trade never seen Mortician shows from Japan, or never seen shows from the U.S. tours I did with these guys. This show was insane I had never even practiced with Anthony and I had to play that little 5-piece kit but we fuckin killed it! I'll never forget that trip to Germany and I'll never forget my German Brothers! HAIL!"
