The KD box is great for people that don't have them or have worn out copies. Other than that...
I have the Two from the Vault presses which are fine for me. The one with Conspiracy doesn't have the comic in the booklet though. Rolling Eyes

This is good release, I have it. It is good for these reasons-

1. If you are on a budget, save $$$
2. Five albums in one purchase
3. Less bulk due to lack of case and booklets. Easy for driving.

Agreed, especially with a band like KD where the lyrics actually matter. Might as well burn five cd-rs if all I need is the music, this is yet another shameless cash-in from the masterminds at RR.

Yep and with the set they could have at least included a booklet with all lyrics or something.

Fields of the Nephilim and The Sisters of Mercy have also released recent cheap shitfests recently, I doubt the actual bands have anything to do with it. I never had any problem working my way through a band's discography and discovering the albums one at a time, instead of this stupid equivalent to downloading the entire discog at once...and the cheap aesthetic kills it even harder for me.

Ok, sometimes Google helps, thanks for the info.

I saw it on a Swiss distro for 19.90 Swiss francs, which is less than 20 Euros. No clue about Ebay, as I don't browse this platform.

Well, as I said, the only point is because my original Roadrunner CDs are from the late 80ies and already in very bad condition.

PS: I also have the vinyl versions, but that's a different discussion.

which Swiss distro?

Sorry didn't see the question, it was here (not really a distro, more like an online media-shop):

http://www.seleso.ch/shop/detail/5141e2970cf2e73f0e715ada

Now for 21 Sfr, no clue why. Can only recommend Seleso though, fast and cheap with a huge stock. Nothing really obscure there of course, although I scored CdG "Häxan" for lousy 11 Sfr through them.

Anyway, as rightfully assumed by some here I am a total noob on KD/MF as I got my first CD "A Dangerous Meeting" in the ultra-trendy days of December 1992 (seems like yesterday, right?), I ordered this just to annoy the vinyl-fetishists.

It's 5 albums for £15, with packaging that you'd expect for the price. If this was being sold as a £60 box set, I could understand accusations of being "cash whores".

right - its so hard to get lyrics nowadays dude - wake up - how bout the internet? in the 80's - I remember having cassettes with no lyrics and scouring hit parader and circus magazine hoping that I could get the illusive lyrics to my favorite songs.

I think these re-issue box sets are great! - u get the cover and the MUSIC - and that's it... I personally purchased the obituary box set and its great. I had the first 2 albums on vinyl and now I got there first 6 albums on cd for less than 20 bucks....
