..........FUKKING HELL!!!!!! What an AMAZING band... I can't believe Yosuke still has the die hard versions of their releases. Anyone into real metal should definitely check them out. I bought both records (first 12"EP & full length) a few months ago without knowing what to expect, and it turned out being one of the best band I heard in a veeeery long time. Can't wait for the new 12"!! |

agreed...ares kingdom is one of the best bands currently active right now and dont get nearly the attention they deserve. many people overlook them now but will probably regret not having paid attention in a few years when everyone begins to recognize ak's genius. they are criminally overlooked considering how great they are. |

Yeah.. I've been an Ares Kingsom fan for q while and I still remember getting goosebumps when I listened to the Firestorm Redemption 12" for the first time. They've always had something a bit beyond most mundane thras / death about them musically, and it was great to see them come together and release their full length.. it's so triumphant! Can't wait for the next 12". Hopefully I can get one of the super limited Prince sleeve versions, HAH! |

Couldn't agree more with you all. I have got the same feeling than Ykh and even thought about posting a thread with almost the same subject here. It's hurting to see how many releases get sold out in just a matter of hours and which is (in my opinion) the strongest album put out by NWN, takes ages to be close of being be unavailable. I remember last summer when I was expecting for the record to be unleashed on vinyl (I HAD to buy the album on CD first since I coudln't wait to listen to it) and it took moths of delays to finally lay my hands on it. I originally purchased a two track advanced CDR the band sold with two unmastered songs prior to the album release and I vividly remember getting out of the post office and playing it right away on my car at maximun volume being unable to stand such a merciless metal storm.
I'm also 100% agree with illomen about people overlooking this band. Chuck Keller seems to deal with such a curse forver. Same thing happened with Order From Chaos back in the day, nobody payed attention at them and now every single poser around mention them as a cult act and bla, bla, bla. Where were them all 10/15 fucking years ago? Order From Chaos have sadly been one the most underrated bands ever and Ares Kigdom walk on the path of suffereing the same treatment by a scene which seems to be deaf.
I consider the lead guitar work of "Return to dust" among the most inspired opuses ever. Keller is a man of supreme talent and so are his partners in crime. |

Killer, I'll be monitoring your shop every five minutes tomorrow, haha.
And I'm also wondering: what's the color of the die hard vinyl?

I completely agree.
I don't think I know more than 5 persons (including me) who know this amazing band here in France.

As happens with the Ares Kingdom die hards the OFC "Imperium: The Apocalyptic Visions" vinyl (limited to 500, I guess) is available in almost every mailorder. I don't know how many people like (and specifically), are realliy into OFC in Spain, but not so many I guess. If we talk about Ares Kingdom, well, that's another chapter according to how people look at me at local shows when wearing any of their shirts. |

Shame on me, I have to listen closer to my Ares Kingdom material I own. I just had two half assed listenings while doing other stuff and I found there are some quite good riffs here n there. |

6 persons with me. But it's true that people don't cream their pants in France with this album, at least they don't dare to... I should have sold one or two CDs of the album here...

Make it 7! The "Return to Dust" album is pretty killer. It took a few spins to really grab me, but I love it now. |

Ares Kingdom have seemed to bypass the average metal scenester. I would assume that's the reason why they aren't as popular and sales aren't as high compared to other bands who have a particular gimmick or are the talk of the town on all of the metal internet messageboards. One thing is for sure, it's not due to a lack of talent as others here have noted.
If you're a fan of real metal, there's no reason not to own Return To Dust. It's just as intense as anything Order From Chaos recorded and far more enjoyable (at least to me) than any other recent melodic death/thrash albums I've heard.
From what I've seen, those who are into this band are really into them. That's how it should be. I'd rather see them stay exactly where they are with a small dedicated fanbase who appreciates their style.
I'm really looking forward to ordering the new EP. Hopefully it does arrive tomorrow. |
