Pros:

- The galloping riff is cool. Would be pretty cool in a Megadeth song, too bad it's in here.
- The vocals are good.

Cons:

- The song is literally thrown together from entirely disparate elements.
- Lego drums.
- Out of place shredding.

All in all, completely pointless and confused walmart metal.

Wal-Mart doesn't stock any metal. Wink

incorrect.. at least Walmart used to stock metal in my town years ago.. they had all the roadrunner re-issues (Obituary, King Diamond, Deicide.. etc) Suffocation, Canninal, Nile, etc..

haven't stepped inside a walmart in a couple years though, so I have no idea if they even sell cds anymore.

anyway.... yeah the shredding is kinda dumb in this song.. and I still don't like the production of it.. (not shocked) but the rest of it is a-ok with me.

"My" Wal Mart is the biggest on the east coast and the Black album is the extent of the metal section.

Questions for the NWN members:

"How grind is for you Captive Bolt Pistol?"

1. No grind here
2. Grind like Necroticism vibe
3. Only the vocals
4. Only the lyrics
5. Only Bill's riffing

I dunno about grind, it does sound familiar though for some reason. Not amazing, but quite decent I guess.

My thoughts exactly. Better than I expected but nothing outstanding.

It sounds like the sound they were aiming for. I like it, but I like all Carcass up until they put out Swansong. What a piece of shit.

Well, for my taste this sounds great. Very melodic, but still sounds like Carcass and vocals sounded great on the full-track.

'The Granulating Dark Satanic Mills'
'A Congealed Clot Of Blood'
'A Wraith In The Apparatus'
'316l Grade Surgical Steel'
'Cadaver Pouch Conveyor System'
'Captive Bolt Pistol'
'Intensive Battery Brooding'
'None Compliance To Astm F899-12 Standard'
'Mount Of Execution'
'1985/Thrasher’s Abattoir'
'Unfit For Human Consumption'
'Zochrot'
'Livestock Marketplace'

Oh come off of it. For one thing, it's Carcass- they "sold out" over two decades ago. For another, who ever took their song titles seriously? The only time the band was ever "serious" was on those fucking terrible melodic DM albums. The rest of the time they were just obnoxious punks with a couple of medical books.

It looks like they put a lot of thought into the song titles sans 'A Congealed Clot of Blood'. Confused

New song is very bland. Not bad, but nothing particularly special or memorable about it. Will give the album a chance, but on the basis of this song I'm not expecting a great deal.
