Never heard of this band before, but watched this and checked out a bunch of other tracks today and really dig this kind of it is weird metal/punk. Any idea where I could find a translation of any lyrics? All i have found is a review saying they're themes are based on claiming they are all a bunch of farmers who work heavy machinery or something. _________________ "...that magnificent deer has vanished." |

I was thinking much the same. I found some other semi interesting gigs from the same fest or venue linked from this particular vid as well. always interested in checking out various weird russian tunes in particular _________________ trade-want list/available list- http://www.nwnprod.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=20339 |

Feederz live at Gilman in Berkeley in 87. Notorious show these guys played where they threw a dead dog into the crowd and the singer wore a dead cat around his neck. Really surprised to find this on youtube and not tons of views, but the video quality is pretty shit.

Sorry for the delay but I missed this thread! To be honest, I never had information about the lyrics. I discovered this band through the Corroseum website
http://www.thecorroseum.com/rev/oblachnyjkraj.htm
which states that the lyrics are of a political/satirical kind. You probably have read that they're active since the early 80's. Earlier stuff is more experimental and the most recent release I own, a 2003 album, is more Rock yet still weird and fucked up.
For more information, you may ask some Russian guys here, maybe Mr Destrozer who's the best reference for obscure (at least to us Westerners) East-European Rock, Punk and Metal. _________________

Full HONOR gig from the mid 90's. Decent quality, good set list. There is another full gig of them in Opole of a slightly shittier quality. |

boy, I wonder what the intended statement of wearing a dead cat around his neck was... not that I think he is a cat killer or something, but its still rather tasteless and visually makes no sense against the sound/style of the music. also nowhere near as stupid as the "artist" who tied up and shot dogs for "the sake of art"
but who am I to pass judgement, as its totally cool in the metal scene to display goat/pigs heads on poles (though we all know these were probably retrieved from the local butcher after the carcasses were processed for human consumption)
for the record, I do love choice cuts of pork _________________ trade-want list/available list- http://www.nwnprod.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=20339 |
