Driver with Ryan Gosling. Didn't have high hopes for it (the wife chose it heh!) but turned out to be great.

Hah, yeah, chicks dig that Gosling fella...Well, you had Christina Hendricks...

Hate to be a pedant prick , but it's "Drive". Anyway, tip-top film!

I wouldn't mind seeing that Only god forgives film with him in, coming out soon, directed by the same dude who directed Drive ( and Bronson)

Critics thought it was shit.

Most of those critics only slammed it for the graphic violence though.

Also there are idiots who can't sit through proper camera work, and films without mindless chatter.

Really? May I ask why? It looks like confused, "let's throw every cliche we can think of together to try and pass it off as creative originality," garbage to me.

142. 07/26 - Miami Connection Ė One of the best movies of the 1980s and itís likely you havenít seen it. You should though! (Netflix) 7/10

143. 07/26 - Oblivion* Ė Tom Cruise, post apocalyptic Earth and a plot that couldnít keep me interested, Iíll revisit it again though (Vudu) 6/10

###. 07/27 - Party! Ė 25 people or so almost killed a half-barrel of Scuttlebutt Gale Force IPA. Thatís all I drank, people sure were hitting the liquor though, the 1.75 liter Jagermeister was gone in no time! The 3 liter bottle of Bacardi rum was cut in half and a liter of Absolut was nearly killed. My wife Amy did a grand job with the food and metal music played until 2 AM. (Home) 10/10 Metalloid Scum Culting the Cake video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=66VC7_TvhTQ

144. 07/28 - Trance* Ė Another fantastic film from Danny Boyle. James McAvoy plays an art auctioneer who gets involved with some criminals and enlists the aid of a hypnotherapist played by Rosario Dawson.(Vudu) 8/10

Just started to watch:

''Four friends are attacked by a demon while on a picnic, due to possession of a tome of mystic information. Told in flashbacks by the sole survivor.''

just watched To Rome With love, one of the worst Woody Allen films ever. Plus it features that Social Network kid who always plays the same exact character.

i don't mind cliches so much. ever since i saw some 80s japanese movie with these demons and magic crap going on (i was on boomers) at least ten years ago, i've wanted to see more of those type of movies. plus i like keanu reeves. my favorite chinese kung fu movie is ninja checkmate / the mystery of chess boxing and that is cliche ridden to the extreme, there's a copy of it on youtube even, if you don't know it.

Good Vibrations. Great little independent film from Belfast about the violence of the 70's and the Punk scene that exploded out of that. I went to the premiere in 2011 and never even thought it'd get a full cinema release like it did in 2012 so glad to see it's out on DVD now. The songs in it might be a bit soft for some on here (definitely more towards the Power Pop/New Wave end of the 70's Punk spectrum), but definitely give it a go if music films/biopics are your bag.

If you like Drive, and who doesen't?, you should watch Valhalla Rising. Same director and it features Mads Mikkelson. A beautiful masterpiece. It is on Netflix instant stream.
