I know I am quite harsh sometimes but I'm quite difficult in my tastes.

The triple CD may be worth getting but there's a BBC sessions one that is maybe more interesting. Let's see if I find a trustable seller on Amazon since they tend to privilege big sellers located in whatever country that ships and forget. If it arrives, all is OK, if there's a slight problem (package broken, lost, etc), don't even try to contact the seller since the answer will never come.

^^

Most of the BBC stuff is included in the 3CD box as well - 15 out of 23 tracks.
What you don't get is 8 songs recorded in '93

I've just ordered it, along with a book. There is their audiorip thing. Is it possible to download the songs too? I usually discard download cards, etc since you only get mp3s and not good quality file, since you often get crappy DRMs and since their websites usually don't work easily on Linux because of whatever application they use on their server that isn't client-independant...

OK, I have this MCA years box since a couple of weeks now so it's time for some feedback.

Borrowed Time has its moments, like on the self-titled track (an outstanding one, I heard it before, too, probably when they played at the KIT festival in April 2007). The arena HR tracks are fine too, i.e. the opening track or "Call Me". The newer versions of tracks from the first album are good because the songs themselves are good, but they lack the energy that was before. "To Heaven From Hell" is OK and "Don't You Ever Leave Me" is a bit annoying.

The bonus tracks on this one are cool and fit with the rest.

On the other hand, Canterbury is an awful album. The opening track is crappest among crap. Getting an extended version on the disc doesn't help. This is exactly the kind of track I hate. Hymns to Rock'n'Roll must be left to MOTÖRHEAD or whatever Rock band that can keep them short and efficient. Or to the 50's. Here it's far too late for this kind of music and I wonder which producer convinced the band to release such a track. They'd better keep playing arena HR since they were at least quite competent in the genre.

The live records are OK but far from outstanding. It looked like the band was quite impressed to play on the first recording. Oh, and must have replaced "Play It Loud" by another song. What an annoying one!

Thanks for all the advice anyway!

Never got into this band. Seen them live at various times as well over the years and it was very tedious
