I did get the new Master's Hammer EP and the Sacriphyx album though.

I don't know how you guys like so many bands to spend 700 smackers every month. What if nothing cool comes out? Do you just buy shit albums to fill the quota?

You probably have good taste in music, we(most) don't....?

Edit, or youre a prick, most likely. Aussie...

Question for the persons who spend 100 bucks/month : Where do you find the time to listen to your new stuffs? I guess you listen to an album 10 times and put it on your shelves for the rest of the year, no ?

I rip the albums to MP3 and I listen to them while driving to work. I listen to the actual records in my spare time...

And? What if that's the way one enjoys music? What if it's the way one enjoys his records? It's not like one MUST "make profit" of every single record one buys and MUST, therefore, listen to each and everyone at least 30 times in a year and then once a month every year to make it profitable.

Besides 100 bucks a month that's like 4 to 5 vinyl albums a month. Seriously that's nothing. That's very reasonable.
$700 now that's 35 albums a month and that's crazy

I've got, like many I guess, an ongoing list of records "I need to buy" and it's never over, something like:

BOLT THROWER warmaster reissue
AUTOPSY new
IMMOLATION new
AMENRA "V" + "I" reissue
COFFINS new
TRIBULATION new
BLOOD AXIS the Gospel... Reissue
GORGUTS new
INCANTATION Mortal... reissue
UNCLE ACID new
BLUT AUS NORD twwtg

Verminous / Antichrist / Crypt of Kerberos /Undergang EPs

that's just recently released stuff... Fuck it

That time isn't needed. I don't like to listen to albums too often as some chart junkies may do..

But it's just a nice luxury to choose something out of a collection what i like to listen to or i hadn't gave a spin for a very long time.
And i need physical shapes and no downloads.

Cannot say for everyone but for me it is easy. There's so much cool stuff, and "missing gems" of olde that its not too hard to find records your missing. I buy a lot of used/out of print/sold out records during the year because for one reason or another i had missed them before.

I'm trying to scale back and possibly look into focusing on more essential works to weed out new release hype, but i still find myself with new releases i hear so much about. Waiting for Bolzer MLP as we speak, which is now on second press from a few months ago when i missed it previously.

Friday/Saturday nights I listen to LOTS of records. I also don't start work until 4pm everyday (work til 11) and there's no one home, so I listen to a lot of records then too. Or else there's Spotify when I'm at work, where I listen to music too.

By the way, I don't spend €700 a month on records every month. In fact, I've never spent more than €200 on records before this and I won't ever spend that again hehe...so far this month it's €22 and it won't go much further than that.
