I have the Nak Cr2 that I paid 135$, but the damn thing gave up on me the very same day I recived it (second hand). Unfortunately I dont know where the hell I can get it repaired in India.
Now I'm using my Denon Dr- 585 to play my tapes. |

Try some of the tech forums on the internet. There are many hobbyists who might be able to identify your problem and maybe you can fix it yourself even.
There are many decks who have 'typical' problems so you might want to google the weak spot of the Cr2 and see if it's the same problem. |

but waiting for a Pioneer CT-W604RS double deck. I'm anticipating hearing 400 tapes like they are in the same room, not behind a wall during a rainstorm! |

Wondering if anyone here can offer some advice about a bizarre tape deck problem.
I just pulled an older Technics dual deck out of a friend's attic. It works perfectly until you try to make a dub. When you press "record" on the blank tape, the other tape deck will not play at all. Basically both decks won't move at once.
I'm not even sure if I'm describing it sensibly but I have no idea what's wrong with it. Maybe a belt? A motor issue? |

I remember having a technics tape deck and when you pressed record both tapes were in "ready" mode, but not playing/recording. you pressed play again on the "original" tape and then it started dubbing. |

Hmm...in my case the "record" side keeps going (recording silence of course) but the other tape won't play at the same time, even if I stop and start it while the other one is already going. It seems like there isn't enough power for both sides to operate at once or something. |

Yeah both decks work just fine by themselves. No problems at all. |

ok I guess depending on how it's working, you have more or less of a problem. if its mechanic a skilled guy should be able to repair the trigger, but if its electronic, it'll be difficult. |

Yeah I'm going to have to get it checked out if I want to fix it. I'll probably just let it go since I paid like $15 for the deck, haha.
I'll just have to wait until I get a fully functional setup for dubs. No big loss. |

I have a Ion Tape2PC for recording the tapes onto my computer:
and I have a Recordex Messenger to duplicate the tapes:
plus a walkman for outside:
and
What I do need is a CD-tape-recorder that should record the tapes with a very great quality! It'd be very welcome if the recorder can play CD-RWs as well (probably even mp3-CDs or USB-sticks, but that is not that important). The most important is the recording quality.
Any recommendations? What do you guys use to make your master-copy?
(that's the only mising part in my tape-deck-collection, unfortunately the quality of my ion-tape-recorder isn't perfect enough for master-copies...) _________________ Trade/Sell-List

Mate, are you talking about dubbing MP3s onto tape? Because that just defeats the whole point of listening to something on a tape. |
