So did someone take these pics or was the camera on a pod and set to self-timer? Laughing

Reminds me of that Behemoth compilation that was strictly limited to 10000 copies.

Strictly limited to a higher amount than most underground metal albums sell in a decade...after multiple represses...on multiple formats.

I'm convinced it was a typing error but I distinctly remember getting a copy of Infernal Eternal about 10 years ago that sported a sticker saying "Blooddawn Productions Ltd press of only 150,000 copies!"

I feel like too many bands use it to create "atmosphere" even in moderate doses.

Yeah, its far too easy and one dimensional to assume that large doses of reverb instantly means atmosphere, and anything less just isn't atmospheric. Sure it helps, and can sound great, but I've heard plenty of comparatively "dry" stuff that undeniably has its own atmosphere. Its about the sound itself, not just how you embellish it.

Anyway I agree with the comments about tits and females on album covers in general. Maybe there are some killer albums that just happen to have barely clothed vampire chicks on the covers, but I can't think of any. Except those Necromantia reissues. If there's one thing that puts me off more than scantily clad vampire whores, its low quality CGI scantily clad vampire whores.

If cannabis is mentioned and there's delay on the drums, I'll buy it. Even if it's not a dub album.

Controversial maybe, but "Cruelty And The Beast" does the job in my humble opinion...

Let's see here:

- Album titles with articles in them. Fuck you, "the"! And I've got my eye on you too, "an." Good titles involve nothing but two to three nouns, one adjective, and MAYBE a verb. And if there's even the implication of an adverb, I'll buy it just so I can break it over my knee.
- Seeing a web address, physical address, phone number, or label logo. Promote yourself elsewhere, fuckers, it's about the MUSIC!
- Shitty Photoshop artwork, shitty painted artwork, shitty cartoon artwork, art by artists I'm tired of, art that is so new and unique it's uncomfortable, art with more than six colors or fewer than three colors, and #1 on this list, acrylics. ONLY OIL PAINTS ARE REAL.
- Geometric shapes. Hurr durr this ain't math class
- The words "ov" and any time a V is used where a U should be. Learn to spell!
- If it looks too "metally." You know where I'm coming from.
- If it doesn't look metally enough.
- Stickers of any kind that say anything. What is this shit, a Trapper Keeper?!? And if I need to reach for the Goo Gone just to have a clean jewel case, you're done.
- Oh yeah: jewel cases.
- Digipaks too, goddammit. I call them digicraps. Because I am full of effervescent wit.

Anything that says "No core, no fun no mosh, no fun" that's when you know someone's been ripping shit off since the early 90's. For fucksakes, get your own ideas and implement them on something that's actually YOURs.

Anything that doesn't offend Jews, commies and non-whites to the point of getting on the internet to bash it.
