October marks the four year anniversary of Dark Descent Records. Having founded the label in 2009, I never envisioned we would be where were are today in this short of a time span. This weekend (October 4-5) we will be holding the label’s first showcase even in Portland, Oregon at the Ash St. Saloon. To mark this monumental event and the four-year anniversary of the label, we will be running a four-day sale in the web store from October 2nd and culminating with the final day of the showcase on October 5th. This is our way of saying thank you for your support for the bands and the label.

Anguish/Below 7"s are now shipping from Dark Descent Records.

Brand new two-song split from fellow Swedish doomsters, Anguish and Below. Many of you know Anguish from their tremendous debut on Dark Descent from 2012, "Through the Archdemon's Head." They return with their bleak and harrowing style of doom metal on this split with a brand new six and a half minute track.

Below are newcomers and this is their debut release. They also crank out a track over six and a half minutes but their style is more epic with soaring clean vocals over killer traditional doom riffs. Below is signed to Metal Blade Records for their debut album to be released in 2014.

Two versions of this 7" split are available. Black vinyl and the limited clear vinyl.
