So I'm feeling dumb because I thought this release came out in 2012...anyways, to be added to my top 5 is the debut of SINISTROUS DIABOLUS. Fantastic Doom/death.

SATAN is really good, but I have to listen to it more... ZEMIAL - Nykta is promosing... different, I would say. The best of 2013 is still easily WARLORD- The Holy Empire! What a masterpiece!

1) Zemial - Nykta (it is really that good and the LP version looks awesome)
2) Peste Noire - Peste Noire (not his best but far and away the best and most original BM band around)
3) Drowned - Rehearsal Demo 12/2012 (best demo in years)
4) Cultes des Ghoules - Henbane (spooky, sounds at times like Mayhem meets Electric Wizard)
5) Dwell - Ash Tombs (very catchy stuff)

Piece of christian crap.[/quote] What a stupid and narrow-way minded comment. My "3rd" best album might be Hell - Curse & Chapter and off black metal releases I really was digging Thy Kingdom Cum by Profanatica... anyhow I choose WARLORD simply because the music is not fast food and that album is truely a grower. One should definitelly forget stuff like what is personal belief / lyrical themes behind any (metal) band, if it's still dedicated and musically inspired stuff.. I mean I could't listen to Sabbath nor Vitus either, if I'd think like altblood... Warlord is NOT preaching.. like some Stryper. Read the fucking lyrics before you judge them. And somebody already agreed with me about The Holy Empire, just above.. so cheers to him! edit: oh yeah the Drowned reh.demo was truely a blast as well! Voivod - Target Earth is their best album in more than 15 years...

Fuck yeah, dude. That demo is nice!

Don't forget the Arnaut Pavle demo, though. Which is better than some highly acclaimed full lengths released this year. IMO. Twisted Evil

A guy slams actual musicians like Tsamis and Warlord, but praises two chord amateurish horseshit like Profanatica. Laughing
