Most likely not the kind of band an average NWN poster would go nuts at, but I've always had a soft spot for these german metalloid scumbags, especially the Somewhere far beyond lp is an album I spin on a regular basis. Any fan?

I like the first three albums and the demo days as Lucifer's Heritage. Certainly not the best band from Germany, but a good one.

Both first Lp's are my faves.

Demo's recorded under the name LUCIFER'S HERITAGE are good too.

Batallions of Fear was some enjoyable speed metal, definitely not my favorite stuff from Germany but still a good listen.

Awesome band on album, not as exciting live. "Imaginations.." album is an all-time top ten for me! Fucking real heavy metal power.

I think that during the 1990s this band took the place of Metallica AND Iron Maiden, musically speaking, as those bands wandered away...

I have heard only bits and pieces and based on that, I think I could really get into this band. I have a soft spot for Nocturnal Rites.

I love Imaginations....

Nocturnal Rites, Hibria, Persuader, Demons and Wizards, and Airut are my favorite "new" PM bands aside from BG.

Is anyone else a little surprised that the number one shit talking person on this message board started the Blind Guardian love thread. Shocker. Rolling Eyes

the first three albums are total masterpieces that have been spinning a lot when I was younger, remember speed metal was dead and Blind Guardian were playing the genre with lots of class and style. "Somewhere..." is equally a good album but I could feel something was changing, and it all started to drown with "Imaginations.." which has its moments but it's not for me. I haven't really checked out any Blind Guardian ever since, except from some festival live appearances.

Great band. I think I like nearly all of their LP's.

They slayed live when I saw them in 2002!
