I bought Magus - Ruminations of Debauchery, 2nd press ep from ebay.fr.
Any fans in here?
Got me also thinking what are these other former bands of ABSU members about?
Dolmen is the only one that I know.
What about the rest? Never bothered to check them out. Did Eternus or Necrotic release anything?
Who loves Equimanthorn? Wink

Dave Ward (Daviel Athron Mysticia) was involved with Maiestas. They disbanded for a while but from what I understand they are rehearsing and composing new material again: http://www.metal-archives.com/band.php?id=82978

I dont know the other projects, but I find the few Magus recordings better than the Absu ones

Last time I heard Magus I remember being pretty impressed with their stuff. Very original and different.

Forgot about Dolmen though, another one to add to the list I guess.

I think the latest Equimanthorn is pretty good, the albums before that were very boring. Never heard the demos though...
I dig Dolmen and Magus, but not later Absu. I really liked Vitriol, but most things after that is boring retro-Thrash to me.

Those Magus tracks impressed me when i first heard them too. One thing i could never work out though - Has some of the drum parts been speed up? For example, some of those rolls on Icon of Gods. Sounds like they could be real.. but are so fast it kinda sounds fake in parts. If it is real then he is definetly one of the fastest drummers specialy for back then.
