In my native city (Ottawa):
Witchkiller - Day of the Saxons EP
Exciter - Heavy Metal Maniac
Exciter - Violence and Force
Exciter - Long Live the Loud
Right now (Montreal):
Aggression - The Full Treatment
Aggression - Forgotten Skeleton
Trop Feross - Resürrection (This is just plain nasty!)
etc...
There was also DBC (not nasty and bestial enough), Thunder Rider (good but does not fit!) and later Voïvod (they started out in Jonquière so I couldn't add them to the list!) |

Cool. I had Berti (vocalist of Gravestone) on my phone about 9 years ago. I wanted to do an interview with him (never answered, btw). He had a quite "soft" voice and it was completely different to his vocal-style, hrhr. _________________

He lives about a mile away from me, he's in a Motley Crue cover band now. |
Cool... I'm betting you didn't learn the usual "Row Row your Boat" guitar lesson crap! _________________ "Great holes secretley are digged where earth's pores ought to suffice, and things have learnt to walk that ought to crawl..." |

What does Death SS sound like (older stuff)?
I've heard some of their newer shit and it totally sucked. _________________ "What's with the girlie screams? We're not the Beatles!" |

The best Death SS is with Sanctis Ghoram on vocals (for my taste). |

can't disagree more. In Death of Steve Silvester, Black Mass, Heavy Demons and Dow What Thou Wilt are all killer albums, if your brain is capable of processing stuff that is an inch more demanding than Motorhead that is. |

Black Widow put out a collection of early stuff called Horned God of the Witches, which is, IMO, killer. Maybe think of the dark sound of Rudimentary Peni "Deathchurch" with a horror rock (dare I say gothic?) sense (like if the Misfits weren't from New Jersey, and grew up on Italian horror movies lby Fulci & Argento rather than US ones); evil, but not hokey. Check it out. _________________ "Great holes secretley are digged where earth's pores ought to suffice, and things have learnt to walk that ought to crawl..." |

In Death of SS and Black Mass are filled with Paul Chain-era stuff, Heavy Demons is a good album but maybe my least favorite. I never got to understand what happened with Do What Thou Wilt, that album is a masterpiece, very strange since pretty much everything after that has been average to put it mildly. _________________ Into the Menstrual Night We Go-o, Hey-Ho, Hey-Ho...
