I mis-spoke, Hellfire is the band I was thinking of. The album is on No Colours and it's called "Into Fire".

I already have that one, but it's a must have for anyone else who wishes to gather a Bathory collection with Worship bands.

I own the EIDOMANTUM - From The Tomb Of All Evil, which doesn't really sound much like Bathory, at least to my ears. Is "Old Blood" any different?

Yes very very different !!!
Well we can recognize eidomantum on this tape , but old blood is more recent and the influences of the first bathory is obvious . But what a killer demo .

I think 90% of the Black Metal band sound and/or have similar to Bathory.. anyway, check Incarnator (Nor), one only demo and promo track, which is the most Bathory-cloned band ever, in fact it was the project of one only member .. there is nothing more Bathory than that Laughing

I second Incarnator. And the tape pops up on ebay regularly as Malicious sold quite (hello CR99) a big bunch of it back then (means they probably got the mastertape and were allowed to copy it as long as customers demanded it, just like with the Emperor and the Enslaved demo. That's why it exists on dozens of different tapetypes)

Old Immortal: rather Samael (at least the first album).

Incarnator was with Infernus of Gorgoroth, which was supposed to be unofficial anyways, hah. The sole reason for that bands was ...., yeah.
Malicious didn't copy the tape since it had a pro printed cover.

Not exactly a clone, but Zemial's 'In Monumentum' is perhaps the most original Bathory-esque album i've heard.

CD-version:
MDD Germany: http://www.mdd-shop.de/index.php?aktion=artikel&artnr=131063
Brasil: http://www.killagainrec.com/home.php?content=news.php&page=&lang=eng

LP-version:
Norway: http://unbornprod.shore-of-nothingness.com/main.htm

That was the first page of results with a google-search Wink
http://www.google.de/search?hl=de&q=%22Power+From+Hell%22+%22The+True+Metal%22&btnG=Google-Suche&meta=

By the way, their 2nd CD Sadismo rules as well. Still heavily Bathory worshiping.

That guy, Zyprianus (or something like that), who was the guy behind Incarnator, mentioned in those years, that he did not want to see the tape spreaded around, and that was the reason he didnt continue with incarnator as well. I think Melicious, perhaps, simply dubbed the tape endless ly without, lets say, permission...

Also I think he was going to sign with DSP something didnt happen either, or course
