Lord Worm - Cryptopsy. I always thought this guy blows. Mike DiSalvo sounded way better IMO.

Funny, to me, DiSalvo renders any Cryptopsy album he is on completely unlistenable. Saw them live with that line up and I went away after two songs, horrible.

This is exactly how I feel. The only Cryptopsy I can stand is that with Lord Worm at the helm.

The following come to mind: Attila (I still like him much more on "Anno Domini"), F. Storm (MH), Sir Witchfinder (RB), Antti (Demilich), Holocausto (on "DDTM"). Most have been mentioned though.

This guy from Inquisition sounds like a goat (literally) - makes me laugh every time. Just can't get into them.

Gezol/Temis (Sabbat) Both are very different imo but excellent
IX (Urfaust) Both raw black and clean emotional vocals are amazing
Mendonša (Akercocke) This guy can handle everything

I second that..

Also Dagon from Inquisition, at first couldn't get into his vocals, but after a couple of listenings got use to them.

weird to see inquisition mentioned so much, the vocals are what totally sold me on them. i cant really think of any answers for me.. maybe atilla.. but still not really.

That's what first caught my attention about them as well. The music kills too, of course. Still, I have friends who can't stand his vocals.
Same with Atilla....I love his vocals, but others absolutely hate him and still have their panties in an uproar over what "De Mysteriis...." 'might' have sounded like with Dead or another singer.
Atilla gives that album a lot of it's magic for sure.

Ditto. Although I think he sounds like a frog!

Nobody has mentioned Big Boss (Root)! I love his vocals, some friends of mine absolutely hate them...

I can't stand yer average Black Metal Vocals. That and the usual lack of bass totally destroys a genre for me.

Alright, this doesn't go just for black metal, but what is it with people ALWAYS claiming they can never hear bass in metal? It's usually easily audible, it just doesn't necessarily have a lot of low-end BASSINESS to it.

Not an attack on you or your opinion, it's just something I noticed while reading a lot of reviews and seeing comments places.

What about Militia : The Sybling. Worst vocals ever imo, they grind and pierce my eardrums. But some people appearantly love them.
