Like a man, good for you then, good for you.

There are a number of different ways to do it. Use stamps.com, it gets really easy. Use any other automated postal method, and it's just as easy. It depends on what shipping services you use. Let your eCommerce system do the work for you.

I've been looking into Endicia.com for a while now. I hope to start using it in 2010.

Cool idea. I have never used that particular one. Will you give us feedback?

Software automation to remove much of life's boring tasks = the win, in my book.

Hehe, as if you didn't try to contact Osmose when a package worth $800 got lost? Wink
Yosuke is also a man as far as I know, so I'm quite sure he can handle the
stress of waiting for the package to return to him, don't underestimate the guy.

Then I can understand that you took it like a man.

That's pretty cool. When my Black Witchery UoSM shirt got lost/stolen in the mail, OSMOSE sent me another one at no charge, good service I thought, but man, that shipping price is nuts. It's not even registered shipping either, and it was the only time FedEx has ever came to my house to drop off an International package.

I can only recall one time where I've had a lost package to deal with, and it was just a $10 CD I bought directly from the band, which they quickly replaced. I guess I should consider myself lucky.

It's funny that some distros replace lost / damaged packages and others don't.

Now I do not know how it works around the world, but in Denmark mailorders have the full responsibility by law. So if something disapears in the mail, it's the mailorder who have to pay.

Sometimes even packs within the USA go off the radar too. Still waiting for this Running Wild CD, won off eBay:

http://trkcnfrm1.smi.usps.com/PTSInternetWeb/InterLabelInquiry.do?origTrackNum=9102785091401182079842

went into the stream and no updates since. hopefully it's like some others where the post office forgets about it for a month and it continues on.

Hopefully your pack shows before long... just remember giving up is for danes Wink

A user off this board packed an LP pretty badly to me! Lovely bloke, but THE PACKING TAPE ENDED UP TOUCHING BOTH THE LP AND THE COVER!!

Very delicate clean-up had to be done.

Honestly! Why don't people use proper record mailers???!!? To be fair, this is the first time ut's ever happened

Thats great that the buyer is protected....but I don't think the mailorder person should be responsible to pay either. It should be the post service that has to refund the money...THEY are the one who lost it, not the guy who shipped it or the guy waiting by his mail box.
