I really enjoy the type of Doom with a classical feel to it, be it in the vocals, guitar harmonies, or general atmosphere. Stuff like:

Ras Algethi - Oneiricon
Ahab - The Divinity of Oceans (amazing vocal melodies amidst crushing Doom/Death)
Arcana Coelestia
Pantheist - O Solitude
Funeral - From These Wounds

Can anyone recommend artists/releases in a similar vein?

While Heaven Wept. You can't go wrong and one can't get any more classical than that, sounds like Wagner on a power doom trip.

Hmmm, interesting band, but not what I'm looking for. In regards to While Heaven Wept, I need to give them another listen. Last I remember, they were too repetitive, but that was some years ago.

im tempted to mention NORTT cause i think his stuff is great.. but i think any classical influence is coincidental.

I appreciate his creations, but yeah it's not along the lines of this thread either hah.

I just listened again, and While Heaven Wept just annoys me; it just sounds like boring pop music. They can't touch the quality that the bands I listed can, in my opinion. Keep the recommendations coming!

Mournful Congregation has a lot of variety in their songs and some very pretty acoustic guitar parts.

I would also recommend Wijlen Wij.
