I never hear anything about these guys anymore. Anyone know their current status? In my opinion, this is the best "dark metal" band since BETHLEHEM, completely overshadows even DEINONYCHUS' body of work. Both albums are completely flawless. I haven't heard the 2 demos though but would like to. Perfect autumn listening...

eh probably nobody gives a fuck about them here anyways???

I have and have only heard Beatrėk - Requiem of December. Great album from what I can recall of it. Been sometime since it's played mind you.

I've probably listened to that album more than the first, but I like them both about equal. Listen to this killer song from the first album:

I was quite interested in hearing Beatrik, but when I checked out the first album was a bit disappointed. There just seemed to be something about the music that didnt seem to fit.

Couple of years later I heard the 'Wolf is Still Hunting' demo and enjoyed it more than the album, so would recommend hearing it.

I have only heard Requiem of December and like that album a lot. I need to listen to that album again, after reading this thread, and pick up their other material.

I ended up purchasing 10 copies for my distro in the blistering heat of the summer last year and ended up getting some of the LPs warped in the shipment - it fucking blows. All the LPs play fine, but some make the needle on the record sway back and forth - never losing track or skipping. I had to mark the price down a lot due to that. I will sell them for $8.00 shipped in the US to anyone that wants one. (They are marked for 10 in my distro listing, but I am fixing to move and need to get some stuff out of here before the move)
With that said, I rarely order LPs in the summer time anymore because of that - at least large numbers...and sent overseas.

I liked the first part of their debut release... but after just a few songs, it turns to being really atmospheric, which I don't care for. I always grew tired of Beatrik after a few lsitens. It starts off all out Balls to the Wall... then morphs into some slower atmopsheric music.
