The first 3 albums are nothing but perfection. Spinning "Violence and Force" once again and every track is too good to be true: Evil Sinner, Destruktor etc
Together with Razor the best bands form Canada.
Any Exciter fans here? |

YES. Heavy Metal Maniac is probably my favorite power metal record. If there were an award for "best percussion performance" in the category of "heavy metal," Dan Beehler would quite possibly win it for this performance. Unfortunately, though, they never quite retained the same sound on subsequent records.

I add "The Dark Command" to the list of essential Exciter records.
Blood Of Tyrants has with "Violator" also a Übersong on the titlelist. Sadly underproduced like the whole record.

Especially "Aggressor" is one absolute killertrack. I love the guitarsound on that album.
Yeah, Canada spawned some killer bands. Infernal Majesty and the first Sacrifice are as good as the Exciter classics; and Slaughter of course... |
