| Thrash metal in general is verymuch a 'Best of' genre.About 90 % of the thraash acts are completely unnecessary,no Thrash metal band should be allowed to put out more than two albums (that goes for Sodom too)with Razor being the only exception. |

| I've never been into thrash, at least beyond Slayer and South American-styled death/thrash stuff. It's way too one-dimensional, and I generally like my music mid-paced. |

Ages ago (when I cared about bm status) I bought one of those "licensed for sale in the ex-URSS only" versions of Transilvanian Hunger, I still play it from time to time but it just doesn't click. Same with Panzerfaust and A Blaze... Doesn't happen with all the other contemporary norwegian legends tho.
The only thing I enjoy from Darkthrone is the A New Dimension demo. Do I get kvlt points for that?

I merely meant that someone is going to come after you for dissing a classic. I didn't like Darkthrone either when I first heard it (Triumphant Gleam when I was probably 14), but when the time and daylight are just right, magical things happen. No, that's not a gay joke you guys...
A Blaze In The Northern Sky must have been my favorite for the last 10 years, but the favorite has been known to change. Sometimes it's Panzerfaust. Transilvanian Hunger is a little bit too much of a less is more album for me to really keep up interest, but it's obvious the band intended to do just that. Not bad stuff, but apparently hastily put together - 2 weeks for writing and recording, or something like that. I wish the band had released more of that off the wall weird prog death.

There are people here that miss the subject all the time, and sometimes even complain about humour on topics...
I can say I never cared about most Thrashcore, Crossover, etc and most Hardcore too. The genre never appealed to me, and the few things I've heard didn't help me to change my mind.
