Underrated:

Rienaus- Their most recent "Saatanale" is outstanding
Selbstmord- "Radical Declaration" was outstanding
Order of the Death's Head- I know many on here like them, but because of their content they don't get enough recognition
Fatherland- mentioned already but bears mentioning again

cosigned! Both Rienaus "Saatanalle" and Ende "Emen Etan" are very underrated ice cold black metal albums.

I think I have stressed this factor a number of times. Simply one of the best bands to come out in years.

However with the release of their recent new album and a tour in Europe right now... this might begin to change perhaps.

A damn shame, a damn shame. I heard from a friend who was at the Netherlands Deathfest that they cancelled. Any info on that?

I get the reasons why people get worked up over this "misuse" of the term vinyls, but why dont the same people get worked up when people call them "tapes" or "CDs".

How did it get to the point when only the word "vinyl" is demonized when using it to refer to your collection, but people dont bat an eye when the word CDs or tapes are used?

Probably because tapes and compact discs (cd's) are the correct pluralization while vinyls isn't?

yeah I guess so. But semantics aside, I was referring to the way collectors defend the word "record" as the proper term to use.

Having said that, I'm slightly embarrassed that I didnt take into the pluralisation of the word. I recently scored 30/30 on some social media test on the pluralisation of words!

No point in talking about overrated bands, everyone else can do it for me.

Underrated bands are:

The Third Eye Rapists

Gevurah

Celestial Grave

Draug

Annthennath

Temple of Azoth

Haunter

That "Daušafęrš" ep is fucking outstanding.

Rest in Morbid Darkness is a killer album.

Pretty much all the Pests are underrated, but I'd say Sweden's tops Finland's and Germany's.

Rest is fucking amazing

For me Finland's Pest just has that old school charm. I like the others as well but "Hail The Black Metal Wolves of Belial" is a classic in my humble opinion.

premise : I love bands from both the following categories but...

overrated : having a discography composed by 6 demos, 5 splits, 4 eps and maybe, MAYBE an album or two if you are lucky.

underrated : making a single fucking demo and then proceeding with just a 38-48 minutes album every two years.

Haha, this. Although I agree with Crasse that a mixture of both is best.
