i agree with this. i cant really figure out why there seems to be such a negative response among many people. i mean, no one expected to be on par with h.l.t.o., but that doesnt mean it cant still be deemed a sucessful album which i think it most definitely is. the only real complaint i have is that the album as a whole unit lacks something that his other work usually does. while each song is extemely good, they dont fit that well together as an album. nonetheless, i think its an incredible return for burzum. |
I disagree - the album does very well as a whole! Maybe this will be somewhat ruined if you have the dbl lp and have to flip it over every 2 songs!
But when I put this one - I have finish it! |
Also, the first two Burzum albums I would most certainly say lack holistic cohesion, especially since the songs were written quite disparately. With the exception of the track "Burzum", the 3rd and 4th albums were all composes sequentially, and I would imagine that they were planned that way as well, whereas the first two albums are somewhat glorified compilations. I haven't heard a second from the new album though, to be honest, so I can't comment, but I understand that the material ranges from 20 years ago to literally half a year ago.

This thread is repulsive. Like a TMZ or Perezhilton gossipy fag parade... and it's mostly Conservationist's fault. Burzum doesn't need ANUS' help being marginalized as some ridiculous sub-culture trend, Varg does a pretty good job of that on his own.
