Talked with some of the members about this two years ago or something, and then they said this has been the plan for a while, but the plan back then was to kind of disappear for a while, get some fresh inspiration, and jump back on the saddle if they felt for it after some years. Dunno if this is what will happen though.. Many things could have changed since that talk.

Bah, the material with Nazgul was far better than most of what they did with Corvus other than while Nazgul wasn't particularly original, he was far better than Corvus' attempts. Well, they've always been rather inconsistent in my book. Some eps with Corvus were pretty bad, and as he sounded bad too. I never liked his style, it almost made me thought they used an even more shitty (and simplistic in a bad way songwriting) sound so it could cover his lack of good vocals in those eps. Evaatnags wasn't particularly good and even if I didn't listen much of their newer material, I must admit I really liked Pimeyden Hehku and the split with Sacrificia Mortuorum.

i noticed also that when corvus joined, its almost like their songwriting and production got worse. thats usually the opposite of how things are supposed to go.

Even if they are done, there are probably at least 9 split 7"s , 4 eps, and 3 live albums yet to be released. We can look forward to those.

"Planned gigs will be done but what remains is yet to be seen."

Where does it say "we have broken up"????

If they DID break up, I'm glad I got to see them once...in a Guido bar in New Jersey! They put on one of the best shows by a BM band I have ever seen though.

Fine by me, hate it when bands release boatloads of pesky 10min splits and demos instead of focusing on full length releases.

I have the "Envaatnags Eflos Solf Esgantaavne" lp up for trade if anyone needs it, will only trade against the drudkh or hate forest on my list.

I liked Corvus' vocals a lot, they are fucking hideous and nasty. Horna is really mediocre for the most part though. Lame nonetheless...

From the beginning, Hiidentorni demo and Kohti Yhdeksän Nousua. Then Envaatnags Eflos Solf Esgantaavne and splits with Musta Surma, Behexen and Woods Of Infinity. The best stuff from Horna.

Hiidentorni demo

"Ikuisesti, Kalpeina Kuoleman Muistoina" rips off Emperor's "I am the Black Wizards" completely... bullshit.

Only good song off that demo is TAPPAKAA KRISTUS!

Does this really come as a shock to anyone? B-O-O H-O-O.

Now, I actually am quite fond of Horna, at least I one time was, but their discography is unmanageable and mediocre at best. On record I only like the slower, depressive stuff.

HOWEVER -

Live, they only played the faster aggressive stuff, and were one of the BEST live shows I have ever seen... in an empty storefront 'club' with 20 people.
